Made in December, 2024

Medium: Acrylic paint, 8 x 10 canvas

Time Elapsed: 12 hours?

Cat Featured: Millie (she/her)

A Christmas gift for my grandma of one of her cats, Millie! I did a digital mock-up of the piece first, over a picture of the canvas I was using. (Which I had drawn a grid onto, for better physical sketching later on.) It was extremely helpful, especially as someone who likes to mess around with the colors and composition of a piece a lot first.

Image Description

ID: A photo of a purple and pink toned acrylic painting of a cat named Millie. Millie is a young tuxedo cat, with a white chest and paws, a half white muzzle, and bright green eyes. She is laying on the floor with one paw tucked into her chest, and she stared at the viewer with a cool expression. The background of the painting is a simple gradient, starting with dark blue at the bottom, and fading upwards into a light purple. END ID.
